Grain Market Bahawalpur which is commonly known as " Ghala Mandi of Bahawalpur " having the original name as " The Baghdad Ul Jadid Mandi Office " , was established by the Great Nawab of Bahawalpur " Sir Sadiq Muhammed Khan Abbasi-V . The foundation stone was placed by his own Hands on December  14th , 1946 before the partition .
Ghala Mandi is situated at the center of the city , is the hub for all the businessman  who are doing business in Grocery stores , Sell & purchase of Grains , cotton and Pesticides . The purpose establishment  of Ghala Mandi Bahawalpur was to provide the ease of Business to the citizens of "State of Bahawalpur" by then Ruler of Bahawalpur .  The office for Ghala Mandi was Donated by Bahawalpur sate and now take over by Marketing Committee . The Building itself is state of start and having the architecture from colonial area having doom on its Top . The building is yellow colored showed its Appearance from a Long distance .
